The Aviation Intelligence Portal at ansperformance.eu is where EUROCONTROL's Performance Review Unit publishes the data behind its performance monitoring. The catalogue groups series into Emissions, Operations En-route, Operations at Airports, Traffic, Economics and Open Data. En-route series report daily IFR flights and ATFM delay by entity and delay cause on an AUA or FIR basis; airport series report daily IFR arrivals and departures, arrival ATFM delay by delay category, ATC and total pre-departure delay and ATFM slot adherence, with monthly ASMA, taxi-out, taxi-in and continuous climb and descent figures. Most series are Excel workbooks under eurocontrol.int/performance/data/download; the gate-to-gate emissions set is also CSV and Parquet.

An operator reads the workbook rows for your airports and proposes a benchmark, a seasonal cover plan or a root-cause note for your approval.

  • Horizontal en-route flight efficiency (KEP and KEA) and vertical flight efficiency for continuous climb and descent operations
  • Open Performance Data Initiative flight list, flight event and measurement files derived from OpenSky Network ADS-B data at opdi.aero

Requirements

  • The ICAO airport codes, ANSPs or FIRs you want to extract from the workbooks
  • A reader for xlsx workbooks; only the gate-to-gate emissions set is also offered as CSV and Parquet
  • Attribution of EUROCONTROL as the source on anything you copy from the data
  • A refresh job that re-downloads whole workbooks, since each file carries the full history
Authentication
No key and no account. Each series is a direct file download from eurocontrol.int; a newsletter and RSS feed announce updates.

Limits

  • The disclaimer permits copying only if EUROCONTROL is named as the source and the data is not used for commercial purposes
  • Post-ops adjusted series run monthly and lag the unadjusted daily series; when read, daily series reached August 2026 and adjusted series December 2025
  • The two traffic complexity series (2014-2016 and 2017-2019) use different BADA versions and cannot be joined
  • No query API; the Airport arrival ATFM delay workbook was 97 MB when fetched

Questions and answers

Is there an API?
The data page lists downloads only: Excel workbooks for the operations, traffic and economics series, and CSV or Parquet for the gate-to-gate emissions set. Flight-level open data from the Open Performance Data Initiative is published separately at opdi.aero.
May I use the data commercially?
The site's disclaimer says the data may be copied in whole or in part provided that EUROCONTROL is mentioned as the source and it is not used for commercial purposes, and may not be modified without prior written permission. Check that against your use before building on it.
What is the difference between the daily and the post-ops series?
Daily en-route and airport ATFM delay series carry no post-ops adjustments and extend to the latest month. The monthly series with post-ops adjustments apply EUROCONTROL's post-operations performance adjustment process and end earlier.
