Google Analytics 4

Event, session, conversion, and real-time user traffic reports from GA4 properties through the Google Analytics Data API.

About

Google Analytics 4 is an event-driven analytics service that measures web and mobile app interactions. The Google Analytics Data API v1beta queries core reports, pivot tables, and real-time active user telemetry using standardized dimension and metric schemas. Teams track channel acquisition, user engagement, checkout funnels, and purchase conversion values across digital touchpoints.

Through Fibric, an operator monitors traffic anomalies and conversion dips, proposing audience annotations or conversion event updates for marketing review.

This is a reference listing. It documents what Fibric would read from Google Analytics 4 and what it could propose, based on the vendor's published interfaces. Fibric builds it under a managed deployment when you request it; selecting it here installs nothing.

Inputs

  • Core standard reports with dimensions and metrics via POST /v1beta/properties/{propertyId}:runReport
  • Real-time user counts and event streams through POST /v1beta/properties/{propertyId}:runRealtimeReport
  • Pivot table aggregations and cohort reporting via POST /v1beta/properties/{propertyId}:runPivotReport
  • Multi-report batches queried simultaneously using POST /v1beta/properties/{propertyId}:batchRunReports
  • Property metadata, custom dimensions, and custom metrics through GET /v1beta/properties/{propertyId}/metadata

Proposed actions

  • Target capability: propose creating a key conversion event definition via the Google Analytics Admin API
  • Target capability: propose creating a custom dimension or custom metric definition on the property
  • Target capability: propose registering an event-driven audience list for downstream campaign targeting

Proposed actions are target capabilities. Every action runs propose-first and needs a validated deployment and the appropriate permissions.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between runReport and runRealtimeReport?
The runReport method queries historical event and session metrics covering past days and months, with standard processing latency. The runRealtimeReport method queries active users and events occurring within the last 30 minutes.
Can Fibric query custom dimensions defined in GA4?
Yes. Custom event parameters and user properties registered in the GA4 admin interface as custom dimensions or metrics can be included in API request dimension and metric filters.
Does Fibric alter Google Analytics property settings directly?
No. Fibric proposes analytical observations and configuration updates such as marking key conversion events. Any proposed configuration changes require explicit operator approval before submission.
