MQTT Broker

Subscribes to your broker and turns every sensor topic into a governed, tenant-stamped event.

About

The MQTT connector attaches to the broker your IoT fleet already publishes to. You give it topic filters; it subscribes, parses JSON or binary payloads against a schema you supply, and emits each message as a governed event carrying the topic, the parsed values, the broker timestamp, and the tenant the feed belongs to. Retained messages seed the initial state, and QoS is honored as your broker delivers it.

The target listing is subscriber-only and declares no publish capability. A real deployment must validate that read-only boundary, schema quarantine, retention, and broker permissions independently. MQTT is managed early access.

Highlights

  • Subscribes to sensor topics
  • Stamps timestamp, source, tenant
  • Managed target is read-only; downstream actions require a separate governed path
  • Provisioned with a deployment engineer through the early-access program

Authentication

Authenticates to your broker with username/password or mutual TLS, using credentials scoped to the subscribed topics.

What it reads

  • Sensor telemetry on subscribed topics: temperature, humidity, door state, motion
  • Device presence via retained and last-will messages
  • Fleet-wide message rates and per-topic freshness, so a silent sensor gets noticed

What it can do

This is a sensing source: it reads, it does not write. Operators act through the write-capable connectors alongside it.

How it works

1

Sense

Sensor telemetry on subscribed topics: temperature, humidity, door state, motion.

2

Reason

Operators reason over this connector's signals next to the rest of your stack, so decisions are grounded in the same records you run on.

3

Act

Nothing. This is a sensing source; operators act through the write-capable connectors alongside it.

Pricing

Managed early access

This listing is informational and not self-serve. A deployment review must validate the connector, credentials, action boundary, recovery path, support, and contractual pricing before use.

Deployment engineer
Wires and verifies the integration with you during onboarding
Managed validation
Review maturity, authority, supported records, and deployment boundaries before go-live
Execution records
Supported reads, proposals, policy decisions, and reported outcomes kept for review
Support from the builders
Developed, run, and supported directly by Fibric

Requirements

System requirements
  • An MQTT broker Fibric can subscribe to
  • Topic filters and payload schemas for the feeds you want governed

Your deployment engineer verifies each line with you during onboarding.

Support and resources

Supported by the people who built it

This connector is developed, run, and supported by the same Fibric team. Support starts during onboarding with a named deployment engineer and doesn't hand you off afterward.

Bring MQTT Broker into your early-access deployment

Early access means a deployment engineer wires this with you, and it runs propose-only until you approve live actions.
